Philip is an award-winning lighting designer based in London but lights shows all over the world.

After Graduating from Mountview Theatre School in London Philip worked for a couple of years at Hampstead Theatre before becoming Head of Lighting for The Young Vic Theatre London. During his 10 years at the Young Vic he is proud to have been very involved in the rebuild and expansion of the building as well as all the shows he contributed to.

As a freelance lighting designer Philip has lit well over 100 new productions. He has lit plays, musicals, operas, live television broadcasts, circus shows and many other live events. He has worked for leading companies and major theatres across the UK and the world including The National Theatre, The Royal Shakespeare company, English National Opera, The Royal Court, The Abbey Theatre, The Sydney Opera House, The Almeida, The Traverse, The Bridge Theatre, Schaubuhne, Welsh Millennium Centre and The Public Theater.

In 2017 Philip was asked to light Magic Mike Live in Las Vegas, directed by Channing Tatum and choreographed by Alison Faulk at The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The show has been a massive hit and he has now recreated his lighting for the show in London, Berlin, Australia & US Tour. He has also lit the reality TV show "Finding Magic Mike" for HBO Max in the US and He did all of the show lighting for the recent Hollywood feature Film "Magic Mike's Last Dance" directed by Steven Soderbergh

As a long standing collaborator with Strut & Fret Philip has made 8 brand new shows with them. Many are still touring, "Showtime at the Pink Flamingo" is a seasonal show at a luxury resort in the Bahamas, and "Blanc de Blanc" originating at the Sydney Opera House and completed a season in Las Vegas  is now back touring Australia. "Uncorked" features as a permanent show on two of P&O cruise ships. "Blanc de Blanc Encore" opened a brand new theatre in Sydney "The Grand Electric" and is still extending season after season.
Philip also designed all of the sets for these productions.
